How
do I get to the British Virgin Islands?
The most direct way is to fly into Tortola, landing
on Beef Island (airport code:EIS) via Puerto Rico,
Antigua or St. Martin. If you fly to St. Thomas, US
Virgin Islands you will have to catch a ferry to Road
Town, Tortola. We will meet you at the airport or
the ferry station and take you directly to the Villa.
What documentation
is required to visit the BVI?
For US citizens, a valid passport is now required
for travel to the British Virgin Islands.
How do I arrange
for a rental car?
Let us know if you would like one, and we can make
the arrangements and have it ready for you at the
Estate. You are welcome to handle that yourself with
the local rental companies if you wish. Just let us
know which company, and we can have it delivered to
the Estate.
What
should I bring?
We suggest that you pack casual clothes for warm weather.
Just in case the night gets a bit cool, you might
want to bring a sweater or pullover. When on vacation
in the British Virgin Islands, be sure to bring
sunscreen, sunglasses and hats. We are closer to the
equator, so the sun is more intense. You may also
want to bring CD’s, videos, books, games and
children’s entertainment (if you are bringing
them) as well.
How much of
a deposit is due?
Within 10 days of booking your villa reservation,
50% of the total rent is required to confirm your
reservation. The remaining 50% is due 45 days prior
to the arrival date. If your arrival date is within
45 days of your booking, the full balance is required
to confirm your reservation.
What
is the cancellation policy?
All cancellations and modifications must be made in
writing via email or fax. If a cancellation is necessary
and notice is received more than 45 days prior to
your reservation, 80% of the total rent is refundable.
If notice is received less than 45 days prior to your
reservation, the rent is not refundable, although
we will make every effort to reschedule your trip
for another time.
Do you accept
credit cards?
We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express.
Are there any
additional fees?
The refundable Damage Deposit is $500. Hotel tax is
7% in the Islands.
What are the
check-in and check-out times?
Our
Caribbean villa check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out
time is 11 a.m.
Is maid service
included?
Maid service is included twice during your weekly
stay. Service is available for additional days for
an additional fee.
What
about food?
East End is only five minutes away and offers some
shopping. The Riteway Food Markets are highly recommended
particularly the flagship store at Pasea Estate, Road
Town. There is also a very convenient store nearby
in Trellis Bay. Or if you prefer, we can arrange a
chef and staff to handle your shopping and cooking
needs.
